Andhra CM to organize a public meet in Tirupati today against PM

Today, Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu and his Telugu Desam Party will soon organize a grand public meeting in Tirupati to protest against the Centre’s objection to grant special category status to Andhra Pradesh.

TDP party has claimed confidently that this Tirupati rally would be an alarm for the PM Modi-led BJP government which has failed to keep up its promises made to the people of the state.

Long back on April 30th,  in 2014, Narendra Modi, then the BJP prime ministerial candidate, made many convincing oaths to the five crore people of Andhra Pradesh, including the Special Category Status.

Today, again on the same day, TDP promises to hold the huge public meeting at the same venue calling for a “fight against betrayal and collusion politics” to remind the government of its promises.

Chandrababu Naidu is said to play video clips of PM Modi from 2014 to show the promises he made. Naidu said that the fight will continue until the justice is delivered.  On April 20th, CM has sacrificed his Birthday celebrations and sat on a hunger strike called Dharma Porata Deeksha.

Simultaneously, YSRCP is also protesting today and calls April 30th as Betrayal Day. Jagan’s party’s MPs, MLAs, MLCs will go on a 12 hour fast in Vizag today.
