Yesterday, AP CM Chandranabu Naidu, announced resignation of two important TDP union ministers from NDA. TDP is the second party to exit National Democratic Alliance after Shiva sena. NDA strength was 332 and it drastically came down to 298 with the exit of TDP and Shiva Sena
Naidu says, “We are resigning from NDA government for the sake of AP people. But, we haven’t decided on completely coming out of NDA alliance group. TDP is still in NDA but we are not in the government. We shall wait for BJP response on our move. We have already informed PM Modi about resignations by TDP MPs (Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Sujana Chowdary). We have joined NDA for the development of AP, not for posts and ministries. We have patiently waited for four years but there was no response from BJP. I tried to convey AP people’s sentiments to PM several times”.
In the midst of TDP’s exit from the government, YSRCP chief, YS Jagan, today convened a press meet and said that, “Chandrababu told TDP has decided to exit because of Arun jaitley’s statement but, this statement is not new and shocking. In 2016, Arun told the same thing and Naidu welcomed the statement at that point of time. Even in Assembly, Naidu said Special Category Status (SCS) is closed chapter and further questioned what benefit North East states got because of SCS.
