Kamal Haasan announces his Party name


Tamil actor- politician, Kamal Haasan, who has taken the plunge into active politics, has announced the name of his political party in Madurai , yesterday. He named the party as Makkal Needhi Maiam, meaning People’s Justice Centre.

He, while addressing around 15,000 people at the naming ceremony, said that he doesn’t practice any isms and work only for the welfare of the people. He also opened up about adopting eight needy villages in Tamil Nadu.

He announced the party name along with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal sharing the dias and Kerala CM on LED display, with a congratulatory video message. He stressed on the topics like the solidarity of all South Indian states and the need of change in Tamil Nadu state.

“Have you seen my party’s flag and symbol? It has the map of new South India. Those six hands represent the six southern states. The star in the middle with six pointers represent truth, people and justice,” Haasan said.

Arvind Kejriwal called both, DMK and AIADMK as corruption parties and asked the audience to cast their votes for Kamal Haasan the next time.
