At last, Padmaavat gets a special screening in Rajasthan

Earlier, Gujarat, MP, Haryana and Rajasthan has banned the controversial movie, Padmaavat, to run in the theaters. There were brutal protests and riots that took place over a long time. But as per the latest news, Jodhpur will now become the first city in Rajasthan to allow a special screening of the film. What a relieving moment, isn’t it?!

The special screening will consists of four major members – High Court judge Justice Sandeep Mehta and three staff members. The screening was arranged because the film’s director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has filed a petition to revoke the case against Padmaavat actors in 2017.

The FIR in 2017 was lodged by two persons, Virendra Singh and Nagpal Singh, who alleged that the film deformed and twisted historical facts and belittled the image of Rani Padmini.

The film would be screened in Inox Mall at Jodhpur at 8 p.m. under high security. They also made sure to organize only one show with policemen and guards all around the theater. Moreover, Karni Sena founder, Lokendra Singh Kalvi, told that they  are very much okay with the screening and assured of not creating any problem at that time. Finally, after so much of chaos, the film strode successfully into the banned states.
