Rajinikanth’s first speech ever after entering into active politics

Actor-turned-Politician, Rajinikanth, hosted his first public meeting and everyone were curious to hear what he would address. This is the first meeting after he declared his political entry last year.

Rajinikanth unveiled the statue of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor MG Ramachandran at the MGR Educational and Research Institute in Chennai.

Showing gratitude towards his fans present in the event, Rajini said that he entered into politics as Tamil Nadu needs good leadership and a good leader. “Jayalalithaa passed away and Karunakaran is old. Tamil Nadu needs good leadership and a good leader. I will fill that void”.

He called MGR a Yuga Purusham and a Makkal Thilagam and further said that he believes he can bring back MGR’s good governance with the support of the youth, people, technologists and specialists. “Many say actors shouldn’t enter politics. I tell them, I do my work properly. But you haven’t done your work properly. I’ve learnt some politics moving with Karunanidhi, Moopanar and Cho,” he said.
