Noted filmmaker Sukumar, who gave us excellent movies like Arya, 100% love, Nannaku Prematho and many more, is eminently known for his pragmatic thinking and rational story-line.
The director is now busy with his upcoming film titled Rangasthalam 1985, with Ram Charan. It is a murder mystery with a village backdrop. Surprisingly, Sukumar who always chose foreign locations have first time strode into village drama.
Today, during his press meet, the director spoke on many things related to the film and shared why he chose a story-line like Rangasthalam 1985. He said, “I have spent 28 years in my native village and later, I started visiting foreign countries after becoming a director. My last two films 1-Nenokkadine and Nannaku Prematho have been mostly shot abroad. One of my fans during my foreign shoot asked me why I could not make a film on Telugu nativity and culture based on a village backdrop. I was embarrassed realizing that and hence, came up with Rangasthalam 1985”.
He even said that the film will have different characters of village people and felt Rangasthalam will be the apt title as it showcases many emotions, love and revenge. This film is all set to release on March 30th.
