Chandra Babu Naidu Proposed TRS-TDP alliance in Telangana, KCR turned down
In an unexpected move, AP chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu proposed a merge aka alliance of TRS-TDP in Telangana to have a unified strong political party from south India to fight against the center, however this proposal was rejected by Caretaker Chief Minister of Telangana K Candrasekar Rao.
Addressing a meeting with MPs of the Telugu Desam Parliamentary (TDP) Party on Saturday, Chandra Babu Naidu in his words said “I proposed (to KCR) that we two should unite. Congress will be restricted to Karnataka. BJP and Congress have no place in Tamil Nadu.
“The two Telugu states will have the upper hand in south India if TDP and the TRS joined hands. He told me he will think it over and a week later turned down my offer”
Further justifying his interest he termed, TDP merging with Congress is a “Democratic Compulsion” as party planning to fight against the BJP in wake of rivalry between BJP and TDP as two political parties parted their ways early this year
With TDP joining the alliance the grand alliance became TDP-Congress-CPI and Telangana Jana Samiti, and Strategy is early election advantage for TRS, while numbers from alliance for Maha Kutami
